RECOVERY ON WATER
Embracing the Power of Movement
to Fight Back
Breast cancer survivors know it takes fitness to keep up the fight. Athleta got in the boat with the inspiring women of Recovery on Water (ROW), a sisterhood of breast cancer patients and survivors that embraces the power of exercise to move through recovery, together. Each sister is a survivor and so much more, using the sport of rowing to be her strongest self, both physically and emotionally.
ROW offers members the opportunity to be active in their recovery seven days a week.
The women find new strength, knowing they can depend on each other.
Fun. Funny. Smart. Dedicated. Team members connect with each other on many levels.
The women of ROW have all been on separate journeys, but are a unified team inside the boat.
ATHLETA SUPPORTS ALL WOMEN
Stories like the women of ROW inspired us to co-create the Empower Bra with breast cancer survivors. It’s Athleta’s first specially designed post-mastectomy sports bra. We also designed a limited-edition Power of She Bra. So whether you’re in recovery yourself or looking to support women who are, there’s a bra made especially for you.

EMPOWER BRA
Our new Empower Bra was co-created with women who have had mastectomies to offer the most in comfort and design.

JENN
The woman bringing them
all together.
Jenn Junk was just 22 when she co-founded this amazing organization. Fresh out of college, she was a rowing coach and wanted to help breast cancer survivors be active in their recoveries. In the 10 years since starting ROW, she has been devoted to educating women about the beneficial effects of exercise, including improvements in lymphedema, bone mineral density, body mass index, quality of life, and most significantly, relapse rates. She loves that learning to row empowers these women at a time when life can be so chaotic and overwhelming.

When you get on theJENN
water, there’s no time for
cancer thoughts. You’re
a rower, and that’s all
you have room for.
There’s nothing I can’tROBYN
do and nothing scares me
anymore. My mantra
is ‘Yes, you can.’
