Jessica Bellofatto is a mother to three children, a sought after yoga instructor for 20 years and counting, as well as a triathlete, doula, surfer, ASI certified SUP instructor, certified lifeguard, SUP elite racer and all around lover of life! She is best known for her easy laughter, radiant energy, and extensive knowledge of the body and how it relates to sports and yoga. Jessica was originally certified to teach yoga in the Jivamukti method, but has also studied extensively in other traditions including Iyengar, Anusara, and Ashtanga.
Raised near the ocean and beaches, the water is Jessica’s second home. Six years ago when she saw a perfect marriage of yoga and paddle boarding she began developing her practice on a SUP board. As one of the first women to bring this experiment to the North East, Jessica soon became a leader in SUP Yoga and now teaches and trains in the art of SUP Yoga. Jessica is a successful entrepreneur and owns a busy yoga studio KamaDeva Yoga in East Hampton, NY while also running a destination travel business. She fills her winter months leading Yoga, SUP and Surf retreats to locations such as Nicaragua, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
Her greatest joy aside from her kids is to teach these retreats and watch men and women become inspired and have an awakening by leaving their comfort zone and trying something new, empowering themselves in the process! In 2011 Jessica was chosen as one of Athleta’s Sponsored Athletes and is also an ambassador for the fitness clothing line PrismSport and part of the BOGA YOGA Team. A former dancer, Jessica teaches on both land and water from a deep understanding of movement as art, movement as play, movement as therapy, and especially, movement as a spiritual practice.
