Tara KrolczykTARA KROLCZYK is a dance, yoga and Pilates instructor who has trained with some of the most reputable professionals and dance companies, including: Mikhail Baryshnikov, River North Dance Company, Gus Giordano’s Dance Company in Chicago, and several others. She has appeared twice on Oprah, was a Radio City Rockette, starred in cruise ship stage shows, and appeared in a number of TV commercials.

Tara is also the owner of LakeSUP, a unique Midwest stand up paddle business that brings a little aloha spirit to the lakes in Minnesota. Tara spends many hours promoting the sport that is still in its infancy in Minnesota, helping lake-lovers find the right board to match their active lifestyle.

On other days, around Lake Minnetonka she might be seen at the yoga/Pilates studio, running or biking with the family. In addition to an active life, she is also a wife and fulltime mom with two kids, ages seven and nine. Tara promotes the holistic lifestyle of yoga, Pilates, stand up paddle, and healthy living counteracting a fast-paced, fast-food world. She believes in the benefits of incorporating an active and optimistic lifestyle to keep the body and soul in synch.

  • Brought her yoga practice to a higher level through dedicated self-practice and class instruction

2010 GOALS:

  • Learn to downhill ski (started in January!)
  • Stand up paddle and hike in Hawaii
  • Host and compete in the first Stand Up Paddle race event at Lake Minnetonka
  • Race in the Tour De’ Tonka, a 60-mile bicycle race, and run a half-marathon
  • Take her yoga practice further and master three or more challenging inversion postures

PROUDEST MOMENT: Aside from giving birth to her two children, dancing in the Alexander O’Neill concert tour in Japan in front of 15,000 people at age nineteen.
