4 Healthy Salad Dressings by The Tasty K

On the blog, we’re sharing 4 healthy & nourishing salad dressing recipes from our friend The Tasty K. Think easy to make, plant-based, refined sugar-free, and oil-free. 

Let’s be honest, not everyone enjoys raw salads. If you’re like me and prefer your greens and salads with tons of yummy dressing on top you’ll love this.

I’ve come up with 4 healthy salad dressings that are not only completely plant-based and refined sugar-free, but also oil-free, and hence super good for you!

Also, they’re super easy to whip/blend up so that you won’t have any more excuses for not eating your green!  I have included a variety reaching from tahini-style to caesar-style to fruity and spicy peanut dressing, so I’ve got you covered for all kinds of salads.

Since your body needs those plant-based fats for optimal vitamin and mineral absorption, I personally love to base my dressings around nuts, seeds and avocados. If you prefer simple fruity dressings, make sure to add a few healthy fats to your salad in the form of nuts and seeds. Good for the taste buds and the body!

Caesar-Style Dressing + Simple Green Salad

  • 2 Tbsp Hemp seeds
  • 1 Tbsp cashew butter
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Dash of salt
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs

 

Creamy Tahini Dressing + Mediterranean Quinoa Salad

  • 2 Tbsp tahini
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 Clove of garlic
  • Dash of water

 

Spicy Peanut Dressing + Asian Noodle Salad

  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 Tsp low sodium soy/tamari sauce
  • 1/8 Tsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1/2 Tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 Tsp ginger powder
  • 2 Tbsp warm water

 

Fruity Dressing

  • 2 Tbsp pomegranate juice
  • 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
