What happens when you love to work out but your dream workout class doesn’t exist?
If you’re Bethany Lyons, then you just create your own.
“I was looking for an empowering and powerful yoga class that continued off the mat and into the community — and that’s how Lyons Den was born,” the yogi explains.
Her studio focuses on Baptiste yoga, which is what you’ll be jumping into in the video above. “It’s a very athletic style of yoga and it has three practices and techniques: meditation, asana, which is the physical practice, and inquiry.”
The key to her workouts? To supercharge the yoga flow with seamless poses that focus on building strength, balance, and flexibility. And even if you’re a beginner, Lyons will walk you through the form, directing your breathing and advising on alignment.
The Lyons Den studio is heated — but Lyons promises this practice will have the same effect whether you’re in the studio or your living room. One thing she does suggest? To practice with a friend to help build that sense of community. “Lyons Den is all about creating a force of energy and power through community, but that community can be crafted with whomever and wherever you find yourself.”
