Free In-Store Yoga: Salute the Sun Event
Celebrate the Summer Solstice & International Yoga Day with Free In-Store Yoga
To celebrate the Summer Solstice and International Yoga Day, we will hold an in-store Salute the Sun event from June 18-21, featuring yoga classes, activities and giveaways.
The Solstice marks the official first day of summer. Not only a seasonal shift, Solstice is also the longest day of the year — a perfect time to set your intentions and celebrate how precious each day is. After the Solstice, the sun starts rising later and setting earlier.
Yoga on the Summer Solstice
International Yoga Day was declared to fall on the same day as the Summer Solstice. Yogi Sadhguru noted the importance of this day in yogic tradition:
“On the day of the Summer Solstice, Adiyogi [the first yogi] turned south and first set his eyes on the Saptarishis or Seven Sages, who were his first disciples to carry the science of yoga to many parts of the world”.
Save the date, grab your friends, and join us as we celebrate the summer season!
