Homemade Holiday Power Bites

Holiday Power BitesNot all holiday treats have to be rich and decadent. Some can actually be healthy, full of nutrition, and make excellent pre- or post-workout snacks. These homemade power bites are quick, easy, and make a versatile treat. Best of all, there’s no cooking time!

  • 1 ¼ cup oats
  • Scoop of almond butter
  • Squeeze of pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon hemp hearts
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds
  • ? cup pumpkin seeds
  • ? cup dried cranberrie.
  • Juice of ½ lemon or orange
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon

Blend all ingredients together in a food processor and roll into small balls. Makes about 15 small- to medium-sized balls.

Will keep in fridge for up to a week in a covered container.

Get creative and use any combo of dried fruits and nuts. You can even dust with cocoa powder or roll in coconut flakes.  Play with the ratios of oats, juice and almond butter to find your preferred consistency!

What a great recipe! I have made these healthy bites 5 times in the last 2 weeks and the fam just loves them. I’ve substituted with coconut, dried apricots, dried cherries, agave syrup, and chocolate chips. Thank you for such a great, easy idea. Do you have any idea how many calories might be in one?
